i2Eye Congress: Autumn course on retinal imaging

High resolution imaging technologies, exemplified by adaptive optics ophthalmoscopy (AOO) and optical coherence tomography (OCT) are progressively transferring from the lab to the clinic. This is an opportunity to better understand retinal diseases, to optimize their management but also to provide novel biomarkers for other medical specialties. However, there is still an unmet need in the field of clinical interpretation of AOO images, and more importantly in the integration of AOO into clinical practice.

October 8th, 2018 : Seminar on adaptive optics ophthalmoscopy

Adaptive optics is making its way into our diagnostic arsenal and its clinical applications, distinct from those of OCT, are emerging through experience and advances in technology and software. The first congress dedicated to retinal adaptive optics ophthalmoscopy was held in Paris on Monday, October 8, 2018, at the Langevin Institute. It was an opportunity to take stock of AO ophthalmoscopy progress in various ophthalmic and medical fields and to trace the many clinical perspectives that go far beyond ophthalmology.
