FRCRnet offers technical and scientific training courses, which are available free of charge to its members. These courses may also be offered to external parties. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.

Training courses offered:

Training Objective: Master the technique of laser photocoagulation for macular edema, particularly for investigators in the TalaDME study.

Profile: Ophthalmologists specializing in retina.

Training Organization: Half-day theoretical session + half-day practical session on-site. Each session is for one to three ophthalmologists.

Tutorial video on targeted laser photocoagulation:

Training Objective: Understand the basic principles of AO, become proficient in using the machine, and learn to interpret images acquired from both normal subjects and those affected by retinal diseases.

Profile: Ophthalmologists, orthoptists, professionals from other medical specialties (cardiologists, neurologists, etc.), physicists, and engineers interested in retinal imaging applications.

Training Organization: 1 day – 6 hours of theory and 2 hours of practical training.

Training Objective: Understand the basic principles of AO technology, and learn to interpret images acquired from both normal subjects and those affected by retinal diseases.

Profile: Ophthalmologists, orthoptists, and physicists interested in retinal imaging applications.

Training Organization: 1 full day of theoretical training + ½ day of practical training.

The latest international seminar dedicated to adaptive optics retinal ophthalmoscopy took place on September 4th & 5th, 2019 in Paris.

Online GCP training is available to network members (doctors, orthoptists, CRAs, etc.). This training is recognised by most healthcare manufacturers.

A training account is opened for members who wish to participate; they then have six months to complete the training at their own pace.
